Like most people in the IVF Community you have probably heard of the many rituals and superstitions women prerform after an embryo transfer. Some have some scientific evidence behind them and most are pretty damn enjoyable. So after my first fresh embryo transfer these were the four that I partook in. The McDonald fries for their sodium goodness, pineapple core for 5 days post transfer for the benefits of bromelain which can help with inflammation and is a mild blood thinner, pomegranate juice to help keep my uterus lining nice & fluffy for my embaby and keeping my feet warm, because heat escapes through the feet and the body worked harder to keep itself warm taking blood for away from the uterus.
Who knows how much these things actually impact on whether an embryo will be successful or not but I was happy to do these few and see how it went. I would have loved to do acupuncture throughout this cycle but due to the only acupuncturist in my area being overseas until the start of my cycle and then COVID-19 interfering with everything I had to give it a miss.
